Due to the severe weather conditions forecast for Sunday Nov. 7, the 2021 Outer Banks Half Marathon has had to be postponed.

All Half Marathon participant registrations will be deferred to the rain date of Sunday April 24, 2022.

Outer Banks Sports Events said more information will be announced after this weekend as they wanted to get this word out as soon as possible, in particular for participants traveling from out of town.

The 5K and Fun Run events scheduled for Saturday are still happening as planned.

“Please know that we all very much share in your disappointment about the Half. This decision was not made lightly and we are very sorry for the inconvenience,” OBSE said.
