Beginning Tuesday, October 4, 2022, NCDOT will be working on replacing a pipe on US-158 between East Third Street and East Second Street, just north of the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department.
Barricades will be placed south of East Third Street and north of West First Street, closing the road to traffic. First phase of construction is proposed to finish on Tuesday, October 4th, with only the right southbound turn lane into the Dare Centre closed during the day.
The second phase and road closure of both lanes of traffic on US-158, will begin the following Wednesday and Thursday night from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. All lanes will be open to traffic during the day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Schedule is subject to change depending on the weather.
