Outer Banks Forever, the official nonprofit partner of Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and Wright Brothers National Memorial, in partnership with REAL Watersports and Carolina Brewery, is thrilled to announce that $24,500 was raised for “Pathways to Your National Parks” on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29!
In just 24 hours, Outer Banks Forever donors raised $14,500 in response to its “$10K Challenge for Cape Hatteras.” With a $10,000 match from REAL Watersports and Carolina Brewery, that total grew to $24,500.
“We are so grateful for to each of you who supported our ‘$10k Challenge for Cape Hatteras’ this Giving Tuesday,” Jessica Barnes, Director of Outer Banks Forever, said in a statement. “With your generous support, we are very close to helping the National Park Service fill the gap in funding they need to make this project a reality.”
“Pathways to Your National Parks” is a public-private partnership supported by the National Park Service and individuals and businesses who donate through Outer Banks Forever. Part of Outer Banks Forever’s mission to protect and enhance the Outer Banks national parks is to raise funds to fill the gap on projects like this one that cannot be fully supported by federal funding alone. Individual, family and business sponsor levels are available to those interested in supporting the pathway.
