The 2024 Northeast North Carolina Niche Ag Conference will be held on November 22, 2024 at the Currituck Cooperative Extension Center in Barco. The theme for this year’s conference is “Adding Value to your Ag”.
Two educational tracks will be shared throughout the day. The first track will cover ways to enhance your farm through value added products, agri-tourism and certifications to expand your available markets and increase the value of what you sell.
The second educational track will focus on the business aspects of your small farm including tax topics like present use land value and property taxes, qualifying farms and sales tax, and simplified farm record keeping for your tax professional. Other topics covered will include business structure considerations and a look at USDA, NCDA and other grant or loan opportunities for small farms.
In addition, exhibitor booths featuring USDA, state agencies, and agricultural businesses and organizations will be a part of the conference.
